Sports Injuries

Like any injury, those sustained during sporting pursuits require time for the body to repair. Accurate diagnosis will help decide the best course of action. This may include a supportive brace, cast, strapping or surgical intervention.

The last thing any sports person wants to hear is the dreaded four letter word; rest. Normally, ‘painless progressive movement’ is the phrase that best describes the path back to normal function.

Sporting injuries can hamper, ruin or end a career. Most often not much intervention is required.  Simple advise and injury strategy is enough. Athletes with serious injury often return to sport stronger and more prepared than ever before. A dedication to an appropriate management program with progressive measured outcomes is key.

Matt has many years experience with sporting injuries in private practice as well as at sporting event and travelling with teams.
